For his inaugural Thanksgiving, Paku has settled on the following menu:- Turkey with stuffing;
- Cranberry sauce;
- Mashed potatoes;
- Sweet potatoes with oranges and brown sugar;
- Green beans with pine nuts and basil; and
- Corn bread
- Pumpkin pie;
- Pecan pie; and (of course)
- Cheesecake.

the oven. Paku will season and roast the pumpkin seeds for a Thanksgiving Day snack.The outcome of Paku's initial efforts are so impressive that one might suspect that Paku was preparing his 12th consecutive Thanksgiving meal and not his first!

I notice a distinct lack of bamboo on the menu. I think a little woody bamboo might go a long way toward seasoning the stuffing-- what a delightful accompaniment to pork!
Also, a bamboo and rhubarb pie is a traditional paku fall dessert.
Also, little known in the US, but bamboo liquor served either on the rocks or straight up is the perfect chaser to some holiday cheer.
